Application
This specification applies to polar Aluminum electrolytic capacitors (foil type) used in electronic equipment. Designed capacitor's quality meets IEC60384.
Construction
Single-ended type produced by fixing terminals to anode and cathode foil, winding them together with paper, and impregnating the wound element with electrolyte. The assembly is enclosed in an aluminum case, sealed tightly with end seal rubber, and finished with a vinyl sleeve.

- Measurement Conditions: Ambient temperature: 20C 2C, Relative humidity: 60% to 70%, Air Pressure: 86kPa to 106kPa.
- Operating Temperature Range: As specified in Table 1 temperature range.
- Rated Voltage (WV) & Surge Voltage (SV): Available in 6.3V to 100V DC.
- Capacitance Tolerance: Measured at 120Hz 12Hz, 0.5Vrms, 202C.
- Leakage Current: Measured after 2 minutes with a 1k10 protective resistor in series.
- tan: Measured under same conditions as capacitance.
- Terminal Strength: Specified tensile and bending forces for lead wires.
- Temperature Characteristics: Tests conducted at various temperatures (-40C, 20C, 105C) to evaluate tan, leakage current, and impedance ratios.
- Load Life Test: 1000 hours at 105C 2C with DC bias and rated ripple current.
- Shelf Life Test: 1000+48/0 hours at 1052C with no voltage applied.
- Surge Test: 1000 cycles of charge/discharge with a surge voltage.
- Vibration Test: 10Hz ~ 55Hz frequency range, 1.5mm peak to peak amplitude.
- Solderability Test: Sn-Cu solder at 2503C, 30.5s dipping time.
- Resistance to Solder Heat Test: Immersion in solder bath at 2605C for 101 seconds or 40010C for 3+0/-1 seconds.
- Change of Temperature Test: 5 cycles of temperature changes between +20C, rated low temperature (-40C/-25C), and rated high temperature (+105C).
- Damp Heat Test: 5008 hours in 90~95% RH at 402C.
- Vent Test: For products with vents (diameter 6.3mm), tested with reversed DC polarity.
- Maximum Permissible Ripple Current: Maximum AC current at 120Hz and maximum operating temperature. Frequency multipliers and temperature coefficients are provided.
