Application Guidelines:

  • Circuit Design: Ensure operating conditions are within catalog specifications. Respect operating temperature and ripple current limits. Capacitors are polarized; avoid reverse voltage or AC voltage (use non-polar for reversed polarity circuits). Avoid rapid/frequent charge/discharge. Do not exceed rated voltage; use balancing resistors for series connections. Outer sleeve is not insulated. Avoid water, oil, toxic gases, ozone, UV, radiation, and excessive vibration/shock. Ensure proper PC board hole spacing and clearance around safety vents. Do not install screw terminal capacitors with end seal side down.
  • Mounting: Do not reuse assembled capacitors. Discharge capacitors before handling. Leakage current may increase after 6 months storage; perform voltage treatment if necessary. Confirm ratings and polarity before installation. Avoid dropping or deforming capacitors. Ensure lead spacing matches PC board hole spacing. Snap-in types should be installed tightly.
  • Storage: Store in temperatures of 5C to 35C, humidity less than 75% RH, out of direct sunlight. Capacitors stored for over a year may require voltage aging.
