General Characteristics:
- Standard Atmospheric Conditions: Ambient temperature: 15C to 35C, Relative humidity: 45% to 85%, Air Pressure: 86kPa to 106kPa. For doubtful results: Ambient temperature: 20C 2C, Relative humidity: 60% to 70%, Air Pressure: 86kPa to 106kPa.
- Operating Temperature Range: Ambient temperature range at which the capacitor can be operated continuously at rated voltage (Refer to Table 1).

- Load Life Test: 105C 2, DC bias voltage plus rated ripple current for Table 1. Tested after 16 hours recovery. Criteria: Leakage current satisfied, Capacitance Change within 20%, tan not more than 200% of specified value, no electrolyte leakage.
- Shelf Life Test: 1052 for 1000+48/0 hours. Criteria: Leakage current satisfied, Capacitance Change within 20%, tan not more than 200% of specified value, no electrolyte leakage.
- Surge Test: 1000 cycles of charge (305s) and discharge (5 min 30s) with surge voltage. Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, Capacitance Change within 15%, tan not more than specified, no electrolyte leakage.
- Vibration Test: 10Hz ~ 55Hz, 1.5mm peak to peak amplitude for 2 hours in 3 directions. Criteria: No intermittent contacts, open/short circuit, damage to terminals/electrodes, mechanical damage, electrolyte leakage, or swelling. Markings legible.
- Solderability Test: 2453C, 2mm dipping depth, 252.5mm/s, 30.5s. Criteria: Minimum 95% of immersed surface coated.
- Resistance to Solder Heat Test: 2605 for 101s or 40010 for 3 + 0 1 s to 1.5~2.0mm from body. Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, Capacitance Change within 10%, tan not more than specified, no electrolyte leakage.
- Change of Temperature Test: 5 cycles of temperature changes (-40/-25, +105). Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, tan not more than specified, no electrolyte leakage.
- Damp Heat Test: 90~95% RH at 402 for 5008 hours. Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, Capacitance Change within 20%, tan not more than 120% of specified value, no electrolyte leakage.
- Vent Test: For products with vent (diameter 6.3). DC test with reversed polarity. Criteria: Vent operates with no dangerous conditions.
- Maximum Permissible Ripple Current: Maximum AC current at 120Hz and maximum operating temperature. Frequency multipliers provided for different frequencies.
