MMPC0503 Series High Current Molded Power Inductors feature a compact design utilizing carbonyl powder for high current handling, low DCR, and high efficiency. These inductors are suitable for applications up to 5MHz and are designed for very low acoustic and leakage flux noise. They are RoHS compliant and operate within a temperature range of -40 to +125. Note on Electrical Properties:
- Test frequency for L: 100KHz /1.0V.
- All test data referenced to 25 ambient.
- Testing Instruments: L/Q: HP4284A,CH11025,CH3302,CH1320,CH1320S LCR METER / Rdc:CH16502,Agilent33420A MICRO OHMMETER.
- Heat Rated Current (Irms) will cause the coil temperature rise approximately t of 40 (keep 1min.).
- Saturation Current (Isat) will cause L0 to drop approximately 30%.
- The part temperature (ambient + temp rise) should not exceed 125 under worst-case operating conditions. Circuit design, component, PCB trace size and thickness, airflow and other cooling provisions all affect the part temperature. Part temperature should be verified in the end application.
- Irms Testing: Temperature rise is highly dependent on many factors including PCB land pattern, trace size, and proximity to other components. Therefore, temperature rise should be verified in application conditions.
- Rated DC current: The lower value of Irms and Isat.
