Important Usage Notes

Electrolytic capacitors require polarization. Reversed polarity can shorten life or damage the capacitor. Use bi-polarized capacitors for circuits with occasional or unknown polarity. Not suitable for AC applications.
Do not exceed the rated voltage. Peak voltage of AC superimposed on DC must not exceed the rated voltage.
Operate within the permissible ripple current range. Request high ripple current capacitors if specified values are exceeded.
Use within the specified operating temperature range. Usage at room temperature ensures longer life.
Not suitable for circuits with frequent charge and discharge cycles. Consult engineering for assistance.
Apply voltage treatment to capacitors stored for extended periods to prevent increased leakage current and internal heat generation. (No treatment needed for storage less than 2-3 years at normal temperature).
Be careful of temperature and time when soldering. For small-sized capacitors, avoid soldering temperatures above 260 and dipping times longer than 10 seconds.
Do not place a soldering iron on the body of the capacitor to avoid damage to the vinyl sleeve.
