Product Overview
The Allegro ACS725KMA is a highly accurate, Hall-effect-based current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communication systems. Its compact SOIC16 package is ideal for space-constrained applications, offering cost savings through reduced board area. The sensor features differential Hall sensing for common-mode field rejection, improving accuracy in noisy environments. It incorporates Allegro's patented digital temperature compensation for exceptional accuracy over temperature. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The device provides a low-loss, 0.85 m typical internal resistance and high isolation, allowing for high-side current sensing without costly isolation techniques.
