Product Overview
The Allegro ACS723 current sensor IC is an economical and precise solution for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communication systems. Its small package is ideal for space-constrained applications, offering cost savings through reduced board area. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The device features a low-offset, linear Hall sensor circuit with a copper conduction path, converting applied current into a proportional voltage. Accuracy is enhanced by patented digital temperature compensation, ensuring precise performance over temperature. The device offers high-side current sensing without costly isolation techniques due to electrically isolated sensor leads. It boasts industry-leading noise performance with improved bandwidth and pin-selectable bandwidth options (80 kHz or 20 kHz).
