Product Overview
The Allegro ACS772 family of current sensor ICs offers economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing. Ideal for motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, and inverter control, these sensors provide a 2.5 s response time for overcurrent fault detection in safety-critical applications. They feature a Hall-effect-based design with a low-offset linear Hall circuit and a low-resistance (100 typical) copper conduction path. The ACS772 family provides reinforced galvanic isolation, certified under UL60950-1 with 4800 Vrms dielectric strength, enabling high-side current sensing in high-voltage systems without additional isolation components. Advanced features include proprietary digital temperature compensation for improved accuracy and temperature stability, and integrated shield technology for high-level immunity to dV/dt and stray electric fields.
