Product Overview
The APS12625 and APS12626 are dual ultrasensitive Hall-effect latches designed for applications requiring precise speed and direction sensing, particularly with ring magnets. These ICs feature integrated vertical and planar Hall elements, providing 90 phase separation inherently independent of magnet pole spacing and air gap, eliminating the need for target optimization. They offer flexibility with XY, ZX, and ZY sensing axis options for various orientations. The APS12625 provides Speed and Direction outputs, while the APS12626 offers Quadrature (Channel A/B) outputs. A unique power-cycling restoration feature (-P option) helps prevent lost counts/pulses. These devices are suitable for automotive and industrial motor/encoder applications, operating from 2.8V to 5.5V and qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 0 with junction temperatures up to 175C.
