Product Overview
The Allegro A1101-A1104 and A1106 Hall-effect switches are advanced BiCMOS-based unipolar switches, designed as next-generation replacements for the 312x and 314x series. They offer fast power-on times, low-noise operation, and increased switchpoint accuracy due to post-packaging programming, which minimizes offsets induced by package stress. Their design incorporates unique Hall element geometries and low-offset amplifiers to reduce noise and residual offset voltage from overmolding, temperature excursions, and thermal stress. These integrated devices include a voltage regulator, Hall-voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, Schmitt trigger, and NMOS output transistor, enabling operation from 3.8 to 24 V. Extensive on-board protection provides a 30 V absolute maximum voltage rating for automotive and industrial motor commutation applications without external components. All devices in the family share identical features except for their magnetic switchpoint levels. The BiCMOS process allows for ultrasmall packages, with options like the SOT23W (LH) and a three-lead SIP (UA) for various mounting needs. All packages are lead-free with 100% matte-tin-plated leadframes.
