The TSL2591 is a very-high sensitivity light-to-digital converter that transforms light intensity into a digital signal output capable of direct IC interface. It features a dual photodiode design (broadband and infrared) and integrating ADCs to measure irradiance. The device approximates human eye response for illuminance calculations in lux and offers a flexible interrupt feature for efficient system operation. It is suitable for applications requiring high dynamic range and operation behind dark glass.
