The HDS18B20 is a highly integrated digital thermometer that provides 12-bit Celsius temperature measurements without requiring any external sensing components. It communicates via a 1-Wire bus, necessitating only a single data line and ground for interaction with a central microprocessor. This design eliminates the need for strong pull-up operating conditions, thereby reducing the cost of MCU controllers. Its low cost and ability to replace the HDS18B20 and NTC thermistors make it a versatile solution. Each device features a unique 64-bit serial code.
