Product Overview
The TLE4998S8(D) is a high-performance, programmable single/dual linear Hall sensor designed for highly accurate angle and position detection. It integrates two individual linear Hall sensor ICs with a Single Edge Nibble Transmission (SENT) open-drain output signal, compliant with SAE J2716. Featuring 20-bit digital signal processing (DSP), digital temperature and stress compensation, and 16-bit overall resolution, it offers minimal drift over temperature and lifetime. The sensor is programmable via EEPROM for various parameters including SENT unit time, magnetic range, sensitivity, offset, polarity, filter bandwidth, and clamping levels. It is suitable for robust replacement of potentiometers and for linear and angular position sensing in automotive and industrial applications requiring high accuracy, including safety-critical functions like pedal position, throttle position, and steering torque sensing.
