Product Overview
The LTR-507ALS-01 is an integrated I2C digital light sensor (ALS) and proximity sensor (PS) with a built-in LED driver, housed in a miniature chipled lead-free surface mount package. It converts light intensity into a digital output signal with a direct I2C interface, offering a linear response across a wide dynamic range suitable for high ambient brightness. The integrated proximity sensor allows for user-configurable object detection up to approximately 50cm. Features like an interrupt function enhance system efficiency by eliminating the need for constant polling. Its CMOS design and factory-set trimming minimize device-to-device variations. Applications include mobile devices, computing devices, consumer electronics, and automotive dashboards for backlight control and object detection.
