Low voltage ambient light sensor combined with RGB color sensor LITEON LTR-381RGB-MT in compact package
LITE-ON LTR-381RGB-MT Optical Sensor
The LTR-381RGB-MT is an integrated low voltage I2C ambient light sensor (ALS) and a color sensor (CS) in a miniature 2x2mm ChipLED surface mount package. It offers advanced RGB color sensing capabilities, converting light intensity (Red, Green, Blue, and IR) into a digital output signal with direct I2C interface. The ALS provides a linear response across a wide dynamic range, suitable for various ambient brightness levels. Its programmable interrupt function with hysteresis enhances system efficiency by eliminating the need for constant sensor polling. This CMOS design ensures minimal sensor-to-sensor variations for ease of manufacturing.
Applications: Control brightness and color of display panels in mobile, computing, and consumer devices.
