The MIC284 is a versatile digital thermal supervisor designed for CPU thermal supervision in computing applications. It measures both local and remote temperatures using a Sigma-Delta ADC for 8-bit results. Key features include a 2-wire SMBus-compatible interface, programmable thermostat settings, open-drain interrupt and overtemperature output pins for fan control or hardware shutdown, interrupt masking, low power shutdown mode, and failsafe response to diode faults.
