DS18B20 Programmable Resolution 1-Wire Temperature Sensor
The DS18B20 digital thermometer provides 9 to 12-bit resolution temperature measurements, with programmable non-volatile alarm settings for upper and lower temperature thresholds. It communicates via a single-wire protocol, requiring only one data line and a ground line. The temperature measurement range is -55C to +125C (-67F to +257F), with an accuracy of 0.4C in the range of -10C to 70C. It can also operate in parasite power mode, drawing power directly from the data line, eliminating the need for an external power supply. Each DS18B20 has a unique 64-bit serial number, allowing multiple sensors to be connected in a network on the same bus, controlled by a single processor.
