Product Overview
The OPB720A and OPB720B Series are long-distance reflective switches designed to detect objects from a distance of up to 12 inches (305 mm) using standard 90% reflective material, and can detect objects as small as 0.08 inches (2 mm). These sensors offer ambient light rejection and feature a logical output that switches from high to low when a reflective target is present or absent, respectively. With hysteresis, the series minimizes output switching oscillations. The OPB720 series can be used in either reflective or interruptive modes, with performance dependent on the target material. Applications include package recognition on conveyor belts, personnel movement detection, security systems, and dispensing systems.
