FLOWSERVE Durable Intake Suction Bell for Centrifugal Pump Parts
The intake suction bell is a critical inlet component of centrifugal pumps that ensures smooth, turbulence-free flow into the impeller eye. A poorly designed or worn suction bell causes cavitation, vibration, reduced efficiency, and premature impeller damage. This replacement part is reverse-engineered using FARO 3D laser scanning and CFD-validated hydraulic profiles.

- Mould Making — Investment casting mould or sand casting mould based on material selection and production volume requirements
- Casting — Wax injection (investment casting) or sand packing → shell building / core setting → dewaxing / pouring → post-cleaning → heat treatment
- CNC Machining — Auto lathe turning of bore and flange faces → meter lathe finishing of critical sealing surfaces → drilling/tapping bolt holes → grinding of mating surfaces → wire EDM for complex internal features
- Surface Treatment — Blacking, polishing, chrome plating, zinc plating, nickel plating, or custom coating per operating environment
- Quality Control — Material certificate verification → hydrostatic pressure test → dimensional inspection via 3D coordinate measuring machine → surface roughness testing → hardness testing → NDT (PT/RT/UT/MT)
