A self-contained fully automated system designed for winding self-supporting air coils using wire coated with thermoplastic adhesive. The wire is heated by the hot air supply during winding onto the coil, with the turns bonded together by the adhesive. Once completed, the finished coil is extracted from the tooling and automatically ejected from the machine.
