Product Description

This product is professionally designed for BYD’s popular Ocean Series model—the BYD Destroyer 05, serving as a core heat exchange component in the automotive air conditioning system responsible for refrigerant heat dissipation.

As a professional manufacturing factory specializing in automotive thermal management parts, our condenser assembly strictly follows OE specifications, dedicated to providing the global aftermarket with high-efficiency, high-corrosion-resistance, high-reliability replacement solutions.

The condenser assembly is one of the key components of the A/C system, responsible for cooling the high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant from the A/C compressor into liquid state—its heat dissipation efficiency directly affects A/C cooling performance and system operating pressure.

  • As a DM-i plug-in hybrid, the Destroyer 05’s A/C system must meet cooling demands in both engine operation and pure electric modes.

  • The condenser assembly supplier is Shanghai Songzhi—a key supporting enterprise for BYD new energy vehicle A/C systems.

  • Typical symptoms of condenser failure include: A/C not cooling, poor cooling performance, and dirty condenser surface.

    Installation Instructions

    Important Safety Note:
Condenser replacement involves A/C system refrigerant line work—must be performed by professional technicians using special equipment to recover refrigerant—do not directly disconnect lines to prevent refrigerant leakage causing frostbite or environmental pollution.

    Tools Required:

    • Lift or jack with safety stands

    • Socket wrench / Screwdriver set

    • Refrigerant recovery/recharging equipment

    •  Vacuum pump

    • Leak detector

    • Refrigerant scale

     Installation Steps (General Reference):

    1. Recover Refrigerant: Use special equipment to recover refrigerant from A/C system

    2. Remove Front Bumper: Remove front bumper to access condenser

    3. Remove Electronic Fan Assembly: Remove fan assembly (if required)

    4. Disconnect A/C Lines: Disconnect A/C lines between condenser and compressor/expansion valve

    5. Remove Condenser Mounting Bolts: Remove upper and lower mounting bolts

    6. Remove Old Condenser: Remove old condenser assembly from vehicle frame

    7. Clean Mounting Area: Clean condenser mounting brackets and surrounding area

    8. Install New Condenser: Position new condenser, pre-tighten mounting bolts

    9. Reconnect A/C Lines: Reconnect A/C lines, replace O-rings, torque to specification

    10. Reinstall Fan & Bumper: Reinstall fan assembly and front bumper

    11. Evacuate System: Use vacuum pump to evacuate A/C system (approx. 15-30 minutes)

    12. Charge Refrigerant: Charge refrigerant and PAG oil according to OEM specified weight

    13. Leak Test: Use leak detector to confirm no leaks at all connections

    14. Function Test: Start engine and turn on A/C—verify cooling performance

    【Professional Tips】:

    • A/C line O-rings must be replaced when replacing condenser to prevent leaks

    • System must be evacuated before refrigerant charging to remove air and moisture

    • Recommended to inspect receiver-drier/accumulator condition when replacing condenser

    • Refrigerant must be charged by weight using an electronic scale—overcharging or undercharging affects cooling performance
