304 Stainless Steel Plate is the most popular and economical of the stainless steels. 304 Stainless Plate offers good corrosion resistance to many chemicals as well as industrial atmospheres and marine environments. 304 Stainless Plate may become slightly magnetic when worked and is not heat treatable.
There are three types of stainless steel plates:
- Cold rolled stainless steel plate: Thickness generally 0.3-6 mm, specifications typically 1000×2000, 1200×4000, 1500×6000
- Hot rolled stainless steel plate: Thickness generally 3-16 mm, specifications typically 1500×6000, 1800×6000, 2000×6000
- Medium thick plate: Thickness generally 18-100 mm, specifications typically 1500×6000, 1800×6000, 2000×6000
