Large Diameter Stainless Steel Welded Pipe 304 / 316L Acid And Alkali Resistant
Large diameter stainless steel welded pipe is typically defined as pipe with an outer diameter exceeding 16 inches (406 mm). These pipes are manufactured by roll-forming stainless steel coils or plates into tubular shapes, followed by longitudinal welding, using processes such as SAW (Submerged Arc Welding) or LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding) for diameters up to 3000mm.
Unlike seamless pipes, which are extruded from solid billets, large-diameter welded pipes offer superior cost-effectiveness, uniform wall thickness, and excellent corrosion resistance. The weld seam, when properly heat-treated, provides mechanical properties and corrosion resistance comparable to the base metal, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
