Q: What is the difference between No.4 and Hairline finish?
A: No.4 uses 150-180 grit abrasives and has visible satin lines. Hairline uses finer abrasives (240-320 grit) and has much finer, more uniform lines. Hairline is more elegant but shows scratches more easily.
Q: Can decorative stainless steel be used outdoors?
A: Yes, if the base grade is 304 (mild outdoor) or 316 (coastal/marine). The finish itself does not affect corrosion resistance — the base grade does.
Q: Does mirror finish show fingerprints?
A: Yes. Mirror finish is highly reflective and shows every fingerprint. For high-touch applications, consider No.4 brushed or add an anti-fingerprint coating.
