UNS N08800 Incoloy 800 Alloy 800 Pipe Nickel Iron Chromium Alloy Custom
Incoloy 800 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy designed for exceptional strength and metallurgical stability under prolonged high-temperature service. With a nominal composition of 30-35% nickel and 19-23% chromium, this austenitic alloy maintains its microstructure even after extended exposure to elevated temperatures, offering excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and corrosion in both high-temperature and aqueous environments.
Unlike standard stainless steels, Incoloy 800 delivers superior creep and rupture strength in the 500°C to 980°C range while also resisting chloride stress corrosion cracking in lower-temperature applications. This dual capability makes it a preferred material for critical components in power generation, petrochemical processing, and heat treatment equipment.
Key advantages:
-
High-Temperature Stability: Remains austenitic and stable after long-term high-temperature exposure
-
Oxidation & Carburization Resistance: Excellent performance in high-temperature atmospheres up to 815°C (1500°F)
-
Creep & Rupture Strength: Superior mechanical properties in the 500-980°C range
-
Chloride Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance: Outstanding resistance in aqueous environments
-
Versatile Fabricability: Can be formed, welded, and machined using standard techniques
