Super Duplex 2507 Stainless Steel Sheet ASTM A240 High Strength Corrosion Resistant
ASTM A240 Super Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel plate with a ferritic-austenitic microstructure. It offers approximately three times the yield strength of 316L and a PREN value of 40 or higher, providing exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Ideal for the most demanding environments, Super Duplex 2507 is widely used in offshore platforms, chemical processing, seawater desalination, and marine applications. With proper welding procedures, it delivers long-term reliability and reduced lifecycle costs compared to standard austenitic grades.
Key advantages: High strength (yield ≥ 550 MPa) | Excellent chloride resistance (PREN ≥ 40) | Superior seawater performance (CPT > 80°C) | Cost-effective alternative to high nickel alloy
