Stainless Steel 304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel grade, known for its excellent formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. When manufactured as a seamless pipe (per ASTM A312 TP304), the product contains no longitudinal weld seam, eliminating the risk of weld-related failures in critical service conditions.
The seamless manufacturing process involves heating a solid stainless steel billet and piercing it to create a hollow tube, which is then rolled and drawn to achieve precise dimensions. This results in a pipe with uniform wall thickness, superior mechanical properties, and complete material homogeneity.
