ASTM A312 TP316L Molybdenum Alloy Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe Annealed & Pickled for Superior Corrosion Resistance
ASTM A312 TP316L combines the molybdenum corrosion resistance of the 316 grade with a low carbon content of 0.035% maximum. This makes the pipe resistant to intergranular corrosion after welding without the need for post-weld annealing.
TP316L pipe is the preferred material for welded chemical process piping, offering superior resistance to chlorides and a broad operating temperature range from cryogenic to about 800°C.
