1. Product Introduction
The BTC-2020 Transformer Capacity & No-Load / Load Loss Parameter Tester is a portable, multi-function test instrument designed for power utilities, transformer manufacturers and electrical testing companies. In a single rugged case it integrates three essential tests for distribution power transformers:
- Capacity test — identifies the rated capacity of an unknown transformer automatically;
- No-load test — measures no-load loss and no-load current under rated voltage;
- Load test — measures load (short-circuit) loss and impedance voltage.
All results are automatically corrected to rated conditions (rated voltage and reference temperature), so measured losses can be compared directly with nameplate values and national / IEC energy-efficiency requirements. The instrument is built around a high-speed 32-bit processor with simultaneous multi-channel A/D sampling, delivering accurate results even on grids with harmonic distortion. Its sealed, impact-resistant case and light weight make it ideal for field work on sites without laboratory conditions.
2. Main Performance Features
- Three tests in one unit. Transformer capacity identification, no-load test and load (short-circuit) test are combined in a single portable instrument.
- Fully automatic measurement. Simply set the transformer parameters; the tester controls the whole process and calculates capacity, losses, no-load current and impedance voltage automatically — no manual calculation needed.
- Automatic result correction. Measured losses and impedance are converted to rated voltage and reference temperature (75 °C / 120 °C selectable) in real time.
- Color LCD with clear menus. A bright color LCD shows settings, real-time waveforms / data and results; operation is guided by an intuitive English menu.
- Harmonic suppression. Digital harmonic analysis (up to the 31st order) filters out grid distortion, guaranteeing accurate power readings on site.
- Built-in thermal printer. Test reports can be printed instantly on site for signing and archiving.
- Large data storage & USB export. Hundreds of test records can be stored and reviewed on the screen; the USB port allows data transfer to a PC.
- Complete protection. Over-voltage, over-current and mis-wiring protection safeguard both the operator and the instrument.
- Rugged portable design. Sealed engineering-plastic case with shock-proof construction, suitable for outdoor and bad-weather work.
