What is RCCS?
RCCS means the Real-Time Online Condenser Cleaning & Enhanced Heat Transfer System.
RCCS consists of spiral twisted tape, ceramic bearings and special steel supports. RCCS is installed in the condenser heat exchange tube, without additional power, driven by the flow velocity of circulating water itself. It rotates rapidly at the speed of 300-1800 RPM to achieve enhanced heat transfer and online fouling cleaning, and it can effectively increase the condenser heat transfer coefficient K value by more than 20%. There are more than 2500 power units have using this technology and have been installed RCCS®, it is one of CIMS®'s core subsystems that monitor RCCS® RPM and condenser cleanliness in real time.

When RCCS is used independently for cold-end energy-saving retrofit, certain requirements must be met for circulating water quality and flow rate. The chart above shows the test results. The test data show that for a 12m inner polished stainless-steel pipe with an inner diameter of 18.8mm and a flow velocity of 2m/s (Re=38000), the head loss will increase by approx. 0.02-0.03Mpa with RCCS installed.
