Our custom tilting pad bearings (also known as tilting pad journal bearings) are core support components for steam turbine rotors, widely applied on high-pressure, intermediate-pressure and low-pressure rotors of thermal power generating units.
Every bearing set is tailor-made based on turbine rotor weight, rotating speed, operating temperature, shaft diameter and client engineering drawings. The split tilting pad structure allows each bearing pad to self-adjust its oil wedge angle automatically under dynamic load, forming uniform hydrodynamic oil film between shaft and pads. This design effectively suppresses oil whirl vibration, reduces rotor friction loss, and guarantees stable long-term high-speed operation of turbine equipment.
