The Horizontal Large Screw Water-Cooled Slag Cooler is a mature core auxiliary equipment matched with circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers, biomass furnaces and waste incinerators. It adopts full horizontal single/double screw cooling structure, integrating high-temperature slag conveying, forced water cooling and waste heat recovery into one unit. It continuously cools furnace bottom slag at 850-980°C down to below 100°C, solving the problems of high dust, high temperature and high energy consumption of traditional slag discharge systems, and realizing green, low-carbon and economical slag treatment for power plants, coal chemical plants and industrial boilers.
- Horizontal Stable Screw Conveying Structure: Full horizontal layout without inclined dead zone; thickened alloy spiral blades push hot slag forward evenly, no slag accumulation, no blockage under large slag discharge volume. Double-screw large capacity design available for boilers above 300MW, with stable slag output ranging from 2t/h to 30t/h. Variable frequency motor adjusts rotating speed to match boiler load fluctuation.
- Full Water Jacket Cooling & Efficient Heat Exchange: The outer cylinder and spiral blades are both equipped with closed cooling water jackets. Cooling water directly contacts the metal wall contacting hot slag, with ultra-large heat exchange area. High-temperature slag and cooling water conduct countercurrent heat exchange, ensuring excellent cooling effect. Outlet hot water at 75-90°C can be recycled for boiler makeup water, plant heating or production process water to save standard coal consumption.
- High Wear & High Temperature Resistant Alloy Components: Spiral blades are surfaced with wear-resistant alloy, service life increased by 3 times compared with ordinary carbon steel. The rotary water inlet/outlet joint adopts dual-channel dynamic-static sealing structure, with high-temperature resistant graphite packing, effectively preventing cooling water leakage and ash overflow, keeping the workshop dust-free.
- Compact Horizontal Layout, Easy Installation & Maintenance: Integrated base frame design, no special high foundation required, saving civil engineering investment and installation period. Detachable side access covers allow quick replacement of wear parts without disassembling the whole machine. The whole equipment runs at low speed, with low noise and low power consumption, greatly reducing daily operation cost.
- Complete Safety Interlock Protection System: Equipped with low water pressure protection, water flow interlock, over-temperature alarm and emergency drain valve. Once water cutoff or insufficient cooling flow occurs, the system will automatically alarm and stop feeding to avoid dry burning deformation of the cylinder, fully guaranteeing long-term safe operation.

Different from inclined drum slag coolers, our full horizontal screw design avoids slag blockage and dead ash accumulation. The double-layer water jacket cooling structure realizes efficient heat exchange, cooling 980℃ hot slag to below 100℃, while recovered hot water can be reused for heating and boiler water supply to cut fuel cost obviously.
