Customized Steam Turbine Emergency Trip Device Lever
The lever of the steam turbine emergency trip device is a core transmission component of the unit's mechanical overspeed protection system, undertaking the critical functions of mechanical signal transmission and shutdown actuation. Compared with the flyweights and fly rings that serve as sensing elements, the lever acts as the primary transmission carrier. It accurately transfers the impact force from the flyweight to drive the emergency trip slide valve to complete pressure relief and shutdown, forming an important physical safety barrier to prevent unit overspeed runaway accidents.
Core Functions of Emergency Trip Device Lever
This component has two core functions: overspeed signal transmission and test isolation. Under overspeed protection conditions, when the unit speed rises to 110%～112% of the rated speed, the flyweight flies out under centrifugal force and strikes the lever. The lever rotates to drive the slide valve, opening the oil drain passage, releasing the safety oil pressure and triggering an emergency unit shutdown. During normal unit operation, the lever can isolate the striker on one side to carry out a single-unit oil injection test without affecting the overall overspeed protection performance of the unit.

The equipment follows the operating logic of "centrifugal force trigger - mechanical impact - hydraulic pressure relief". The whole process requires no electric power drive and features stable and reliable response. Routine maintenance shall focus on checking the valve shaft fit clearance, wear of the lever impact surface, condition of the return spring and cleanliness of the sleeve mating surface. Common equipment faults include impact surface wear, pin shaft loosening and component jamming, which may lead to operating speed drift, protection failure to act and transmission malfunction, directly threatening unit operation safety.
