GYFTY83-24 B1.3 24 Fibre Single Mode Rodent Resistant Non Metallic Fiber Optic Cable

Application:

The GYFTY83 is designed using physical and chemical methods to provide protection against rodent gnawing, ant bites and bird pecking. The structure of the GYFTY83 optical cable involves inserting 250 μm optical fibres into PBT loose tubes, which are filled with waterproof grease; At the centre of the cable core is a non-metallic strength member, with the gaps filled with water-blocking compound. The loose tubes (and filling rope) are twisted around the central strength member to form a compact,circular cable core. An inner sheath and an FRP armour layer are extruded over the cable core, followed by an outer polyethylene sheath.

● Lightweight and with a small cable diameter, reducing the impact of ice and wind and the load on towers and supports

● Aramid fibre reinforcement enhances the cable’s tensile strength; a non-metallic FRP armour layer provides protection against
rodent, ant and bird damage

● The tube is filled with a special grease, providing critical protection for the optical fibres
● All-dielectric insulation material, suitable for areas prone to lightning strikes

● The AT sheath offers tracking resistance and is suitable for installation in circuits rated at 110 kV and above
