Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825) is a classic nickel-iron-chromium-based corrosion-resistant alloy positioned between common stainless steels (such as 316L) and expensive Hastalloy alloys. Its core characteristics are relatively controllable cost and strong corrosion resistance, with particularly outstanding performance in sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and chloride-containing environments.
 Core Properties
· Broad-Spectrum Corrosion Resistance: With a high-nickel (38-46%), chromium (19.5-23.5%), molybdenum (2.5-3.5%), and copper (1.5-3%) formulation, it performs excellently in both oxidizing (e.g., nitric acid) and reducing (e.g., sulfuric acid) media. It exhibits strong resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC), pitting, and crevice corrosion caused by chloride ions.
· Resistance to Intergranular Corrosion: Stabilized with titanium (Ti), it is less susceptible to intergranular corrosion sensitization after welding and generally does not require special post-weld heat treatment.
· Operating Temperature: Recommended for continuous use up to approximately 540°C, while maintaining good toughness at low temperatures.
· Key Parameters: Density of about 8.14 g/cm³, tensile strength ≥586 MPa, and yield strength ≥241 MPa at room temperature.
