Plant-based meat alternatives often lack natural green color for products like herb burgers, vegan sausages, and vegetable patties. Our Chinese Matcha for Meat Analogues provides both natural coloring and umami enhancement. The powdered tea adds a mild savory note that complements pea protein, soy protein, and wheat gluten while creating an appetizing green fleck or uniform tint depending on concentration.


Unlike spirulina or spinach powder, matcha maintains color through cooking and freezing with less fading. Usage level typically 0.5–2% of total formula. We work with food technologists to optimize matcha particle size for extrusion and texturization processes. Supplied in 20kg food-grade bags. Halal and vegan certified. Technical sheet available.
