Partial / Full Turnkey PCB Assembly 20 Layers For Any Supply Model
Supply chain complexity is one of the biggest challenges in electronics manufacturing. Some components are strategic—you want to source them directly to maintain control over quality, cost, and availability. Other components are commodity parts—you prefer to have your EMS provider source them to save time and reduce vendor management overhead. The ideal manufacturing partner should support both scenarios. Studio's Partial & Full Turnkey PCBA for Any Supply Model gives you the freedom to choose exactly how much of the supply chain we manage. You decide which components we source and which components you supply.
This flexibility is powered by our advanced manufacturing infrastructure. 12 fully automated SMT production lines, automated wave soldering, programmable robotic soldering systems, and a comprehensive inspection suite—AOI, SPI, 3D X-Ray, ICT, FCT, flying probe testers, and a reliability laboratory—ensure that regardless of the supply model you choose, your boards are assembled to the same high standards.
In our full-turnkey model, Studio takes complete responsibility for the entire manufacturing and supply chain. You provide the design; we deliver the finished, tested product.
What's included:
- PCB fabrication (in-house, up to 20+ layers)
- Component sourcing (all parts, from our authorized supply chain)
- Component verification (LCR testing and visual inspection)
- SMT and THT assembly (12 automated lines)
- Automated soldering (wave, selective, and robotic systems)
- Full inspection (AOI, SPI, X-Ray)
- Electrical testing (ICT, flying probe)
- Functional testing (FCT)
- Reliability lab testing (thermal, humidity, vibration)
- Box-build and logistics
Best for: Customers with limited procurement resources, complex BOMs, or who simply want to focus on design and market strategy without supply chain management.
In our partial-turnkey model, we share supply chain responsibilities. You source strategic components (custom ICs, proprietary parts, components from preferred suppliers). We source the remainder—passives, standard ICs, connectors, and hardware. This approach provides the perfect balance of control and convenience.
You supply:
- Critical, proprietary, or sole-source components
- Components where you have negotiated special pricing
- PCBs (if you have a preferred fabricator)
- Any other parts you prefer to source directly
We source:
- All remaining standard components
- Passives (resistors, capacitors, inductors)
- Standard ICs and controllers
- Connectors, switches, and hardware
- Any parts you do not wish to source
Best for: Customers who have strategic procurement for critical components but want to avoid managing hundreds of commodity line items.
| Your Situation | Recommended Model | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You have established supplier relationships | Partial Turnkey | You keep strategic parts; we handle the rest |
| You have no procurement resources | Full Turnkey | We handle everything |
| You want maximum control | Partial Turnkey | You control critical parts; we handle standard parts |
| You need to minimize vendor count | Full Turnkey | One vendor, one invoice, one accountable partner |
| You have custom or proprietary components | Partial Turnkey | You source and control the proprietary parts |
| You want to reduce component cost | Partial Turnkey | You use your pricing for high-value parts |
Regardless of whether you choose partial or full turnkey, every project benefits from our advanced manufacturing and quality infrastructure:
| Capability | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| 12 Automated SMT Lines | Capacity to handle any volume, from 5 boards to 50,000+ |
| Automated Wave & Robotic Soldering | Consistent through-hole joints and mixed-technology assembly |
| AOI & SPI | Defect prevention through early detection |
| 3D X-Ray Inspection | 100% verification of BGA, QFN, and hidden solder joints |
| ICT & Flying Probe | Component-level electrical validation |
| FCT | Real-world functional verification |
| Reliability Laboratory | Environmental testing for mission-critical products |
Step 1: Model Selection – We work with you to determine the optimal supply model based on your procurement capabilities, component strategy, and cost objectives. We identify which parts you will supply and which parts we will source.
Step 2: Component List Confirmation – We provide a clear list of components categorized by sourcing responsibility. Every part is clearly labeled: "Customer-Supplied" or "Studio-Sourced." This eliminates ambiguity and prevents surprises.
Step 3: Parallel Sourcing – You source your assigned components; we source ours. Both streams operate in parallel, reducing overall procurement time and accelerating project start.
Step 4: Incoming Inspection – Components from both streams undergo LCR testing and visual inspection upon receipt. All parts are verified against specifications before they enter production.
Step 5: Precision Assembly & Testing – Your boards are assembled on our 12 automated SMT lines with automated wave soldering and robotic soldering. Comprehensive inspection (AOI, SPI, X-Ray, ICT, FCT) validates every board.
Step 6: Documentation & Shipment – Full traceability records track components from both supply streams. Each board ships with a Certificate of Conformance and test reports.
- Model Flexibility – Choose full, partial, or any combination that fits your supply chain strategy
- Clear Classification – Every component is clearly identified by sourcing responsibility
- Parallel Processing – Your sourcing and our sourcing happen simultaneously, reducing lead time
- Consistent Quality – Same inspection and testing standards across both supply streams
- 12 Automated SMT Lines – Capacity and precision for any order size
- Comprehensive Testing – AOI, SPI, X-Ray, ICT, FCT, and reliability lab capabilities
With Studio's Partial & Full Turnkey PCBA for Any Supply Model, you decide how much of the supply chain we manage. Both models deliver the same precision, quality, and accountability.
