Static Vacuum Shelf Dryer Preserving Original Shape of Fragile Granular Dried Materials

The static vacuum tray dryer places wet material in trays and dries it under a negative pressure vacuum environment created by a vacuum pump, while a heating medium is circulated between the jacket and the pipes for heat conduction drying. The moisture evaporated from the material is removed by the vacuum pump.

As a static vacuum dryer, the material is not tumbled or agitated during drying, so the shape of the dried material is not damaged. This makes the machine a good fit for fragile granules, crystals and shaped particles that must keep their original form while they dry.

Wet material rests in trays inside the sealed chamber and the vacuum pump lowers the internal pressure, so the boiling point of the material falls and drying proceeds gently at low temperature. A heating medium circulated between the jacket and the pipes supplies heat by conduction, and the evaporated moisture is drawn out by the vacuum pump. Because the load never moves, the material dries in place and the original shape of the dried product is preserved.
