Hydrazine deaeration dosing device is designed to remove dissolved oxygen from boiler feedwater systems, preventing electrochemical corrosion in high-temperature environments.
Process Principle
Oxygen can cause electrochemical corrosion of metals such as carbon steel in humid environments, resulting in damage to iron components. The reaction is as follows:
Especially in water supply systems with higher temperatures, such corrosion is most likely to occur and is relatively severe. Therefore, the dissolved oxygen in the water must be removed. Hydrazine deaeration is currently the commonly used chemical deaeration method for high-parameter boiler units. It exhibits strong reducing properties in alkaline solutions and can reduce the dissolved oxygen in the water. The reaction is as follows:
Process Overview
This device mainly consists of five parts:
- Liquid dosage pump system
- Mixing system
- Dosage addition system
- Safety system
- Control system
Hydrazine is drawn in by the water jet device into the dosage system, then added to the mixing system in proportion and mixed evenly with demineralized water or condensate water. It is then dosed into the boiler feed water by the dosage addition system. The dosage control can be carried out manually or by following the control signals output by the upper-level system for automatic control.
This device is not only capable of dosing hydrazine, but with some modifications, it can also dose other deoxidizers such as carbonyl hydrazine and dimethyl ketoxime.
