Headers collect and distribute steam or water from or to a series of smaller pipes or conduits. Manufactured from carbon or ferritic steel, these components typically match the grade of the connected piping systems. Unlike piping systems which are usually butt welded and bent, headers maintain a straight configuration.

The operational pressures and temperatures headers must withstand vary based on their connection points. Headers connected to economizers or water wall panels face less demanding material requirements than those connected to superheaters or reheaters.

Available in sizes ranging from 88.9 mm to 406.4 mm, our headers are manufactured in various materials from carbon steel to high-alloy ferritic steels including T/P91 and T/P92, suitable for diverse temperature and pressure conditions.

Steam boiler pressure part headers with large diameter longitudinal welded pipes serve multiple functions including water wall headers, superheater headers, and economizer headers. These components perform critical roles in collecting, mixing, and redistributing working medium throughout the system.

Structurally, headers are classified into two main types:
