After oil gas well drilling is completed, the oil companies will arrange the contractor to RIH casing pipe for cementing. There are usually three types of casing pipe, which are surface casing pipe,technical casing pipe and production casing pipe, many wells follow the above casing pipe assembly, and sometimes there's conductor casing pipe before the surface casing, the size is 20'' or 24'' to block the surface loose soil.
In order to run the casing pipe to the accurate designed depth, some short casing pipe, that is casing pup joint will be used with length of 2', 4', 6', 8' or 10'.
The casing pipe pup joint complies with API 5CT, API 5B Standard, the detailed specification is as follows:
