Description
The bare conductor:AAC,AAAC,ACSR,AACSR,ACAR and Galvanized steel wire, are used in overhead electric power transmission and distribution lines with various grade voltage.
Service Performance
- High tensile strength
- Long life
- Light in weight
- Suitable for high as well as extra high overhead
Construction
Bare all-aluminum 1350 Conductors (AAC) are concentric-lay-stranded, consisting of one or more
layers of wire wrapped helically around a straight round central wire. Each successive layer has six
wires more than the layer immediately beneath. Greater flexibility is provided by increasing the
number of strands for a specific cross-sectional area. AAC conductors are manufactured in
accordance with the requirements of the latest applicable issues of ASTM specifications B230 and
B231. The more commonly used strandings are 7,19, 37, 61 and 91. 127, 169 and 217 strandings
are also available.
Features
- High strength to weight ratio
- Better sag characteristics
- Improved electrical properties
- Excellent resistance to corrosion
Application
Aluminium Conductors are predominantly used in Overhead Line applications and for primary and secondary power distribution.
All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) can be used in Medium, High and Extra-High voltage transmission lines. AAAC offers better sag performance due to the high strength-to-weight ratio provided by the aluminum-alloy. In addition, AAAC provides a higher corrosion resistance than ACSR conductors.
Specification
(1) all aluminium conductor (AAC)
(2) all aluminimum alloy conductor(AAAC)
(3) aluminum conductor steel reinforced (ACSR)
(4) anti-corrosion type ACSR
(5) aluminimum conductor aluminimum clad steel reinforced(ACSR/AW)
(6)rear earth aluminimum conductor steel reinforced(ACSR/RE)
(7)aluminimum conductor aluminimum alloy reinforced(ACAR)
