Introduction

Mud gun is a mud precipitation solids control equipment except mud agitator in oil and gas drilling process. Its main power are source of mud pump or jet mud mixer. This equipment has simple structure, flexible operation, and can prevent mud precipitation in the corner. Generally mud guns include high pressure mud guns and low pressure mud guns. Drilling fluids through the nozzle produce high-speed flow for achieving the purpose of mixing drilling fluid. The pressure and flow rate are transmitted by the high pressure main drilling pump or by centrifugal pumps in most cases.

Mud guns are used to stir the compartments or bulkheads and are generally used in conjunction with mud agitator, theoretically after the last solid phase control. In the solid control system, drilling fluid or drilling mud are sprayed and stirred by mud gun. It can stir the mud of tank bottom uniformly, especially inside the sub-warehouse under the last solid phase control equipment.
