Introduction
Vacuum Degasser is a special purpose device for gas extraction in drilling fluids. This unit is positioned downstream from mud cleaner, shale shaker and mud gas separator, while hydrocyclones and centrifuges follow in the arrangement. It is used to remove small entrained gas bubbles left in the mud by mud gas separator.
The function of vacuum degasser is breaking the air and gas out, such as methane, CO and H2S from the mud to the surface. Drilling fluid is usually sucked from shale shaker tank under vacuum force. In addition, vacuum degasser plays the role of agitation on drilling fluid. Based on common design, our degasser can be customized according to client's practical demand.
