Introduction

Hydro-cyclone is a kind of equipment for classifying the ore pulp by use of centrifugal force. It has no motion and dynamic parts,and needs to be matched with corresponding slurry pump. It is mainly used in ore dressing industry for classifying, dewatering and desliming. Desilter is solids control equipment with a set of desilter cyclone to separate silt from drilling mud from drilling rigs. Desilter is installed on top of the mud tank following desander The desilter removes the abrasive solids around 15~44 micron.

As the third important solids control facility in drilling mud purification system, mud desilter could enhance the performance of drilling mud, and can work together with desander cleaner. Commonly used cone is ”4 or 5” , which separates size of 15-47μm solids particles out from drilling fluids. Desilter is also called Hydrocyclone Desilter on the basis of clients’ handling ability. At present, TRCN series desilter is widely applied to oil & gas drilling, horizontal directional drilling, coal bed methane drilling, bored piling, tunnel and other trenchless project.
