Choke Manifold

1. Application

Choke manifold is a necessary device in the process of blowout control and implementation of oil and gas pressure control technology. In case that the BOP is off, the pressure at the bottom of well shall be kept higher than formation pressure through controlling casing pressure with choke valve on-off. Additionally, soft shut-in can be realized through relieving pressure with choke manifold in the process of well shut-in. When pressure in well rech at extreme limitation,it can be used to prevent blowout and protect wellhead.

2. Configuration

Our choke manifold is composed of choke valve, gate valve, pipeline, pipe fittings and pressure gage, etc.

The configuration of the manifold is rendered as per API 16C. One line is connected to the mud pit and anothe line is connected to the choke line. The frame could be designed horizontal or vertkcal as per the requirement of the client. The choke valve could be manual and remote as per the client requirement.

3. Specification

Pressure classes 5000psi, 10000psi, 15000psi. Can also be designed according to requirement of client.

Choke manifolds are manufactured according to API Spec 16C.
Working Pressure: 5,000psi ~ 15,000psi
Nominal Bore Size : 2 1/16 - 4- 1/16"

4. Working Principle

When the pressure rising in well,fluid in well can be released in utilization of the choke valve opening/closing in choke manifold to control casing pressure, which can directly blow out through gate valve when the casing pressure is quite high.

Operating Features of Our Choke Manifold:

1. In winter, the choke manifold can work under a low temperature condition.
2. The pressure gauge must be installed.
3. The working pressure of all components on the choke manifold shall be compatible with that of the BOP stack used.
4. The line pipe shall be level and straight as much as it could. In case of the turn of the line pipe, the 120 degree steel bent pipe shall be used. The bore of the line pipe shall be large enough.
5. The choke manifold shall be installed at the place where the operator can reach it easily. The pressure test must be performed prior to installation and the seat test pressure shall be equal to the rated working pressure.
