Application

Choke manifold is a necessary device in the process of blowout control and implementation of oil and gas pressure control technology. In case that the BOP is off, the pressure at the bottom of well shall be kept higher than formation pressure through controlling casing pressure with choke valve on-off. Additionally, soft shut-in can be realized through relieving pressure with choke manifold in the process of well shut-in. When pressure in well rech at extreme limitation,it can be used to prevent blowout and protect wellhead.

Choke Manifold Control pressure to prevent overflow and blowout. Reduce wellhead casing pressure by relief function of choke valve. Full-bore and two-way metal seal Choke bean features hard alloy inside, delivering high resistance to erosion and corrosion. The relief valve helps to reduce casing pressure and protect BOP. TR Choke manifold is composed of choke valve, gate valve, pipeline, pipe fittings and pressure gage, etc.

Working Principle

When well pressure rises, the choke valve (it falls into three kinds: Manually adjustable, hydraulic and positive) on choke manifold can be turned on and off to release the fluid to control casing pressure. Gate valve can be used for direct blowout. When casing pressure is pretty high,

Operating Instructions of Our Choke Manifold:

1. The pressure gauge must be installed.
2. The working pressure of all components on the choke manifold shall be compatible with that of the BOP stack used.
3. The choke manifold shall be installed at the place where the operator can reach it easily. The pressure test must be performed prior to installation and the seat test pressure shall be equal to the rated working pressure.
4. In winter, the choke manifold can work under a low temperature condition.
5. The line pipe shall be level and straight as much as it could. In case of the turn of the line pipe, the 120 degree steel bent pipe shall be used. The bore of the line pipe shall be large enough.
