Product Introduction

Hydro cyclone is a separation equipment with high efficiency which utilizes centrifugal field to separate two-phase fluid, and it has been applied in classification, thickening, dewatering, desliming, separation, washing and other processes. Slurry is fed to cyclones through inlet in tangential or involute direction (depending on feeding way of the inlet head). Under centrifugal force, large particles will move downwards along outer swirling flow and be discharged through apex as underflow while fine particles will move upwards through inner swirling flow and be discharged from apex finder as overflow.

How does a hydrocyclone work?

Slurry or liquid mixture is fed into hydrocyclone through inlet under a certain pressure. Under centrifugal force, large particles
will move downwards along outer swirling flow and be discharged through apex as underflow while fine particles will move upwards
through inner swirling flow and be discharged from vortex finder as overflow.

 
Advantages of TR Desander Hydrocyclone:

1. Vertical classifier wheel would have low ratation speed,low wear and low motor power.
2. Classifying efficiency(extraction rate) can be between 60% and 90%.Material with good flow-ability would have high classifying efficiency,otherwise,the classifying efficiency would be low.
3. Suitable for dry fine powder classifying,powders of ball shape ,flake shape and needle shape,also powders with different densities.
4. Product size from classifier can vary from D97:2 micron to 150 micron.The product size is adjustable,which makes the change of product size easy and simple.
