AJ safety joint is one kind of safety back off tool which is connecting with drilling string and all kinds of working string in downhole operation. When sticking in well and need back off, it is easy to back off from connection thread of its body. Pull out drill pipe and tubing above its pin joint. It is easy and reliable to back off or make up again in downhole. During drilling operation, safety joint works like one drill pipe sub, its ID coincides with connected pipe string, so there is no problem for operation in the bore of pipe string. Safety joint body adopts for special wide saw form connection thread, ingenious tension structure design, when connecting, just need certain torque to connect the whole. Unless given more than 40% opposite, it won't release automatically in downhole working.
The safety joint type AJ is an essential safety tool for connecting pipes in the downhole. It can be used in drilling, fishing, tubing, washover and test operation. Not only engineered to resisit internal and external pressure, but also features in coarse threads to resist wedging or loosening of the tool during operation. The torque can be transmitted in either left-or right-hand direction.
