ALL Aluminum Alloy Conductor(AAAC)
Bare homogeneous AAAC is concentric-lay-stranded consisting of aluminum alloy wires wrapped helically around a central aluminum alloy wire. It is similar in construction and appearance to AAC conductor.
AAAC conductor has many advantages. For example, higher strength to weight ratio than AAC conductor, better corrosion resistance than ACSR conductor, lower power losses than equivalent aluminum layer conductor, more simple accessories.
The aluminum alloy stranding consists of 7, 19, 37, 61 and 91 wires.

Used mainly on longer span circuits where mechanical resistance, sag characteristics and good strength to weight ratios are required. AAAC is made from aluminum alloy for current carrying capacity and corrosion resistance
AAAC conductor are made out from aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy of high electrical conductivity (min 53% IACS) containing magnesium (0.6-0.9%) & silicon (0.5-0.9%) to give it better mechanical properties after treatment. AAAC conductors are made out of aluminum alloy 6201.
